VolunteersBecome a SS4S Volunteer! What better way to learn about Astronomy and sharing it with kids and other students of science like you! We will teach you the information you will need and the tools on how to develop you knowledge. The best place to start is to attend our star parties at Sand Harbor and to join our Star Explorer Camp series. We also provide Family ASTRO workshops that will teach you the techniques and materials that provide the basis for our mentorship programs with the community. This is not data intensive but intuitive processing of concepts learned through inquiry based learning. This program is about learning how to learn along with your students. It is the thrill of shared discovery that brings everybody back for more. We have an unlimited opportunity to mentor students in their pursuit of learning science! Please join us! Call Paul Guttman, M.D. at 775-720-6999 or e-mail pguttman@ss4s.org. or call Richard J. Smith, our director of education pictured below at 775-530-4844 or e-mail rsmith@ss4s.org.
