The March IYA theme is "Observing Night and Day" and the target mission is our Moon and the many other mysterious moons of the Solar System. We meet at the Tahoe Center for Environmental Science in Room 141 on the campus of Sierra Nevada College. Learn how to make craters and map out the terrain of your own micro moon. Take a ride in the Apollo Mission Moon Buggy! Free admission. Parents must accompany school aged children.

We will view the the wonders of our Solar System in "95 Worlds and Counting" and view the landing of the Huygens Probe on Saturn's moon Titan. Try your hand on building your own model of Phobos, Mar's Asteroid Moon.

Among Altair-4's many wonders is an underground lair with a Robot named Robby. An evil deadly force awaits all that dare step forth on this desolate planet! This is a 1956 classic and the first to feature an android Robot. After the film, we will discuss the merits or flaws of the science depicted. Prizes for the kids who participate in the discussion. Free admission, parents must accompany school aged children.
