The best way to get involved is to become a member of SS4S and then contribute your volunteer time to help us provide assistance with the Family ASTRO programs and the interactive schools program, Project ASTRO.   

By becoming a member in SS4S for an annual membership fee of $25, you become part of our community team and are invited to participate at all levels including trainings in Family ASTRO and assisting in our monthly star party adventures.  We will be planning special programs to train you on the use of the new Orion 10"XT Dobsonian electronic Telescopes.  With these powerful new tools, everyone can find and identify the fabulous deep sky objects and planets that are a constant source of wonder and learning.  In addition, we plan to train volunteers on the methods of teaching the Family ASTRO program which is an incredibly fun and rewarding process.  Our summer star explorer camp programs for families is now accepting enrollment, this will be conducted locally for convenience and will run during school vacation times this summer.
